2023 Pinot Gris
The 2023 Pinot Gris is 100% estate fruit. Harvested on the 9th of September we sorted the fruit straight into the press where the juice was separated from the skins and seeds and into a stainless-steel tank. The juice was cold settled over night then separated into two batches. Using two different strains of yeast each batch of juice was cold fermented for just over 50 days. The resulting wines were two beautiful, aromatic, flavorful wines. The two different batches of Pinot Gris were then homogenized and prepared for bottling.
The aromas are filled with citrus and tropical notes, while the palate is well balanced with notes of citrus fruit along with a minerality that leaves a nice clean, lengthy finish.
"Pretty pear fruit, along with lightly ripened honeydew melon, captures your immediate attention. The fruit is underpinned with citrus rind and wet stone accents, and it all ties together nicely with supple acids through the finish. Elegant, detailed and thoroughly delicious." 92 Points - Paul Gregutt's NW Wine Guide
