2021 Chardonnay
This 2021 Chardonnay offering is our first estate Chardonnay. We harvested the fruit with beautiful flavors on the 22nd of September. The juice was fermented cold in 33% new French oak alongside some neutral oak barrels. After fermentation was complete the wine underwent a partial malolactic fermentation giving the wine its beautiful mid-palate. The barrels were stirred for the first 3 months then settled and aged on Sur Lie for 16 months. The aromas are toasty and lightly buttery with vanilla scents, while on the palate the creamy texture and flavors of ripe apple and peach touch the senses.

"There wasn’t much fruit to be found on the nose of this wine. Instead, it is an interesting aromatic combination of caramel popcorn and earthy post-rain petrichor. Flavors of strawberry lemonade and chamomile tea with a touch of honey meld with a mildly oaky-buttery quality." 88 points - Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast
